Emergency No-Water Service in Western North Carolina

No water, a pump that quit, or a well that will not stop running? Same-day help across the mountains.

Emergency No-Water Service

When the water is off, everything stops: no shower, no dishes, no livestock water, and in winter no way to keep pipes safe. We treat no-water calls as the priority they are. Call and tell us what happened; we will walk you through the breaker and the pressure switch on the phone, and if that does not bring the water back we come out, find the fault and fix it the same day whenever the part is on the truck. Dead pumps, tripped breakers, failed switches, waterlogged tanks, split lines, a pump that runs and never shuts off, or a well that filled with mud after a flood: we carry the common pumps, tanks, switches and fittings for the systems used around here so most calls end with water running before we leave.

Before you call, two things to check

Look at the breaker for the well pump and reset it once if it tripped. Look at the pressure gauge on the tank: if it reads zero and the pump is silent, the pump, switch or wiring is the likely fault; if the pump is humming or clicking rapidly, shut it off at the breaker so it does not burn up. Then call. Do not keep resetting a breaker that trips again, and do not run a pump that is not moving water.

Winter and storm calls on mountain roads

We are set up for the roads here. In a hard freeze the fault is often a frozen line in a well house, crawlspace or an exposed run, not the pump, and we check that first. After flooding the problem is usually a submerged pump motor, a wellhead that took on water, or silt in the system, and we disinfect and flush as part of the repair. Gravel drives and steep lots are normal for us.

Emergency Service: Questions We Hear a Lot

How fast can you get here when we have no water?
No-water calls go to the front of the line. Weaverville, Asheville and the towns around them are usually same day; Burnsville, Marion and Hendersonville depend on where the truck is, and we will give you a real window when you call rather than a guess.
The pump runs constantly but no water comes out. What is wrong?
Either the well has drawn down below the pump intake, a check valve or drop pipe has failed so water falls back down the well, or the pump impellers are worn out. Shut the pump off so it does not run dry and call. We test water level and pressure to tell which it is.
Do you charge extra for emergency calls?
We tell you the trip and diagnostic price when you call, and you get a firm price for the repair before we start. No surprise charges on the invoice.
